The Revolutionists

Scale project from Janet Arnold book archives.

Dress was scaled up to exact size, and re-created in a changable silk fabric. Every detail was hand sewn to pay homage to the dress makers of the past who didn't use machinery to construct gowns. The back is Watteau pleated. The gown itself rests on a pair of bucket panniers.

Wig: created on a wire frame, skinned with quilters batting, and handsewn decorative trim.
